About Rudhran

Dr.R.K.Rudhran   Chennai, India

i am an artist and a psychiatrist who is just starting this blog to get to know about blogging.
i am writing this second sentence after two years! i was blogging at ibibo which started more out of a socializing curiosity than sharing thoughts and writings.  ibibo was catering to a different group, and this blog was made to reach out to more people.

i have my obsessions, but did not have the compulsion to write till now. though Dr.Raguram made me open this account in 2006, it is actually my friends and comrades R and M who have really inspired me to write further, therefore does this actually begin in 2008, just as how a baby takes time to talk sometimes even two years after its birth.

this will not be a blotched autobiography. it will be an expression of my angst, which does not have a cathartic theatrical outlet. it will also be my expressions of wonder- for life is not always painful.

since some people want to know more about me, i am

Dr.R.K.Rudhran, born and living in Chennai,

    Hi Rudhran,
All the best. UR talk on raj t.v. abt. Osho few years back helped me to cross check how deep my love for Osho is. Ur autograph on his kathopanishad book (book exhibition) prevented me to gift it to an unworthy person . My gratefulness will continue. Nice to see u .

Vanakkam sir, your critical analysis about law college incident is different and thought provoking. Hello viewer”s Dr.Rudhran shared something about him. As i am his student i want to share few things about him. Basically he is a very good human being/good clinician/ethicaldoctor/man with enormous intelligence-creativity. If his past emotions/mood/thought were consistent and stable now he might went to greater heights. All those were stable for Kannadasan and jayakanthan now the antisocial elements like karunanithiand jayalalitha may not be in the histroy of tamilnadu. Sorry! If i not met Dr.Rudhran 10yrs back i may not be inthis world to share this views. En anbukuriya aasaane! Nee pallandu pallandu pala nooru aandugal vazha prarthikiren. ANANDHAN

    உங்கள் கருத்துக்களை தமிழிலும் பதிவு செயும்படி கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்.

    Dear Dr,

I remain confused by the people who hail Dr Abdul Kalam for his so called discoveries. when there was Pokhran I, the Pokran II and Kalam are brought to limelight. he never made any remarks on Post godhra genocide. what we can do now with those atom bombs , i.e., in retaliation for mumbai attack. and it has become a fashion to mention his name whenever our heroes( in every field) address people.
kindly let me know the reason. thank you Dr.

  14. sowmiya Says:

    one question to you.
    am new to your blog
why there are less questions to
a valuable writings than sites like
    mumbai terror attack,
    chennai law college “dalit fury”?

are people will response only to
    sensitive things than logical things?
wont they are capable to have their views
    on forecoming things?

  15. S.RAJAPPA Says:

i want to clarify one thing.
    did you ever change or
    will you ready to change
your views, if it is proved to
    be wrong?

  17. rudhran Says:

if i know – or even feel i have espoused a wrong idea or idology,
even before someone else proves it,
i shall declare my fault and apologise for the same.
i believe that growth is accepting.

How r u? im one of ur student during the year1997-98.from cauvery college trichy for my block placement.im proud to be a student of the great man 0f this world.

  27. sankarraman Says:

I am happy to note that you have a blog in which I shall attempt to write something savouring philosophy, existentialism and the teachings of ramana and J.K

  28. sankarraman Says:

Have you ever thought Dr about the possibility of one being consciously aware with the thought process being absent, which is termed as samadhi by traditional teachers, and, ” CHOICELESS AWARENESS,” and, ” ATTENTION,” by J.K? Do you subscribe to the thoughts of U.G.Krishnamurti that apart from the biological mechanism, which is a manifestation of life, there is no individuality remanifesting in another form. According to U.G life fulfills its purpose in manifestation and that there is no individuality. He seems to be a modern advaitin.

  29. sankarraman Says:

J.K says that psychologically there is no time, no becoming or attaining something apart from the, ” what is.” This seems to be a highly transcendental thought, almost a surrender to the Infinite.

  30. M S Muthukrishnan Says:

I am taking this opportunity to convey that your vazha(vala) ninaithaal vazhazham(valalam) cassette is one of the best cassette, I have ever heard. Recently I have missed the cassette wonderful cassette now.

Is it available anywhere for sales now?

  31. rudhran Says:

i am trying to upload a link and a blog (voice blog) which might ultimately have what you like

  32. Surya Says:

Dear Dr. My earlier comment in Oct 2008.

Requested to write and introduce about our great guru Osho to this generation. I came to know that you are willing to write for “Vinavu”. Plz consider. It will reach many at this important juncture.

    Hope you will agree.

  33. Surya Says:

I guess you are interested in world movies. Met you at “Symphony theate” during film festival.

Plz visit my blog on International movies and suggest your valuable comments. Hope you will like it.

  34. sowmiya Says:

    please doctor ,

    Atleast for Surya’s request,
    you write on Osho.
    Otherwise, he/she will write
    the same as the comment
    for every your post.
Even if you are not interested
    with Osho, express it
    to him/her.
    Or otherwise inform, “noone has
    the right to decide,
that what I have to think or to write”.
    It is better.

  35. surya Says:

    Hi Sowmya,,

    Are you working for Dr.?

Why you are getting annoyed for my request…???

I know doctor’s busy schedule. I read a lot about Osho and I have many books on him. I requested doctor to write so that it will reach many.

    Plz be cool.

    • rudhran Says:

dear sowmiya and surya- thanks. i may write on this, but my views on osho though they remain the same- with phenomenal regards for the teacher- can become diluted and angry at the way the ashram/resort whatever they call it, is functioning .

  36. sowmiya Says:

    To Surya,

If u think that only those
    who work for Dr.Rudhran
    can say that,I m saying
    “YES. Am working for him”.
    Is it all right now?

  37. durai Says:

dear sir vanakkam pl, write about osho 15 to 20 lines thank u

  40. Srithar.A Says:

    Respected sir,

    Introduction about u is fantastic.

  41. Surya Says:

Osho post waiting for your comments.

  42. sowmiya Says:

    sori. i have no comments
    on irrational things..

And i feel it is not good
    to have our personal arguments
    in this forum.

    • rudhran Says:

sowmiya, i did not write because surya wanted; as far as i am concerned if people want to discuss/debate among themselves regarding what i write it is ok to use the post. i need not endorse the views, however if i feel the need i may also comment on comments.
surya, i dont think anyone has won or lost because i wrote on rajneesh; i was just writing about what i lost

    Dear Sir,

At last, I feel I have connected with you again ( I am a voracious reader of your writings.. I could not get your books in recent times ( Is there any book published after ‘Atho Antha Paravai’?). Though I met you only two times personally (for counselling purpose), I wouldn’t be I am what I am today without your books. Still I purchase your books (esp Thevaikal Aasaikal) to give gifts to my beloved ones. And I have read your Atho Antha Paravai more than 10 times, still I could not digest the strange feeling I felt while reading.

Seeing your books in my book shelf is also giving a wonderful mood to my Existence. Though I am familiar with this kind of tech world viz.,blogs, e-books, etc., I could not reach the state of joy which we get during books reading. I request you to write more for books also.

May be it’s too late but not least.. Wish you all the best for your endeavours

    Raja Ganesh

  67. Mohamed Faris M F Says:

    Hi all,
I would like to share my Experience with Dr. Needless to say Dr. Rudran the best man that I could feel in the first meet itself.
I went to him today for getting counseling for my personal problem. Yeah its kinda cheating in love.
When I was about to start with the word love he understood everything, such a big person very keen to hear my each and every word and he was very noble to me.
The most touching part is when I was about pay the consulting fee, the receptionist told me its okay, whereas I’m ready spend anything that could relieve me from the stress, I’m having in the past days, which made me to think about his tendency a lot over and over. I do not believe in the concept of astrology and black magic remedies but I did because I was crazy about my love and it made me to do so. Those uneducated, illiterate who could know only about lemons, ropes etc charged me rs.1000 in just 2 mins, just to say if you do this you may get what you want and didn’t tell what to do? And he asked few more bucks to continue. But such a master in Psychiatrist and almost I’ve spent about Half –an – hour with his assistant and with Dr., who didn’t care about money rather he cared about me, makes me feel great about him. Thank you, sir. Thanks for your care. Please cast out my sorrows within myself.

The first book read by me from the corridors of your wisdom was “Needs and desires” with the explanation of the beautiful concept of Deciderrata which made me to move further to understand the passage of life. My sincere appreciation for your eventful episodes for the benefit of humanity. Wishes and greetings from .P.Balasubramanian
